All bus schedules will start two hours later than the normal pickup time.

IT'S TIME TO REGISTER RETURNING STUDENTS FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR!

(Register by Friday, August 2 using the PowerSchool Parent Portal - Choose Forms)

All students should be registered by Friday, August 2, 2024.

Using your PowerSchool parent account, click on the “Forms” icon in the left menu. Please complete all forms for each student in your family. You will be asked to update your contact information and your child’s medical information, grant important permissions, and choose whether or not your child will ride the school bus this year.

** All families are encouraged to complete the "Household and Income" Optional Form, as this may qualify you to receive additional benefits.**

Other optional forms also provide links to register for Safe Harbor after-school care and the Open Door Adolescent Health Center at MCHS.)

All Registration can be completed online. Please contact your child’s school if you need assistance or need to drop off required documents.

** We highly recommend using a computer with a Chrome browser to complete registration. **

IMPORTANT: Please note that schedule and teacher information is not yet updated in the PowerSchool parent portal. Any schedule or teacher information you see in PowerSchool is not accurate until Monday, August 12th. Transportation information will also not be available.

REMINDER: Wednesday, May 1, will be an Early Release Day for Michigan City Area Schools. On Early Release days, students will be dismissed early to allow teachers and staff to participate in professional development. Students will receive assignments to complete at home during the afternoon.

Middle/High School students will dismiss at 11:00 a.m.
Elementary students will dismiss at 12:00 p.m.

There will be no Safe Harbor or Boys and Girls Club afterschool programs on Early Release days!

IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK!
Due to the number of delays and eLearning days we have had over the past week, MCAS will not have the scheduled early release day on Wednesday, January 24. School will be in session following the normal full-day schedule on Wednesday.

We thank our Transportation and Sodexo staff for their hard work over the weekend as they worked many hours to assess road conditions and clear our school parking lots and sidewalks.

(School breakfast will not be served at elementary and middle schools.)

There is no morning Pre-K at Pine, Springfield, or Knapp. The Little Wolves full-day program will begin at 10:45am.
