Kid’s Art Workshop with Miss Kim

Kid’s Art Workshop with Miss Kim I received my BFA at Wright State University and my Master’s of Art Education at UD. I taught art for over 10 years.

I am now working on my own collection of art.

Great finish ! My young artist started by painting their sky and water using watercolor paint. Then they took their foam plate and used a sponge to lightly apply black acrylic paint. They pressed softly down on the foam to create a @ reflection of their buildings in the water.

My young artist started this project last week. They created a skyline of buildings on a foam sheet and then traced it on watercolor paper. They used black colored pencil to color their buildings. The foam will be saved for the next class.

My students recreated their self-portraits on Scratch Art this week. I'm pleased with the results, especially considering there's no way to erase or change your marks. It took some planning, so last week they created their self-portrait on a piece of paper using a mirror with very little access to an eraser. This helped a lot. Good job, my young artists !

Final project for this month. Everyone did exceptionally well. I am so proud of their work.

Today my young artist learned about Wayne Thiebaud and his colorful dessert paintings. Inspired by his style, they created their own cupcake artwork using bright colors and modeling paste for texture. So much fun !
