Something major is coming to Miami. And it starts at MIFA.
We are proud to present the Miami Fiber Triennial 2026 — a city-wide celebration of contemporary textile and fiber art, presented by MIFA in collaboration with FAMA and Threading the City.
At MIFA, we open 8 simultaneous exhibitions spanning our galleries, printshop, outdoor spaces, and residency rooms — featuring artists from across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Live performances. Artist talks. Family days. All free. All open to everyone.
And then the city takes over.
From Wynwood to Coral Gables to North Miami Beach — the Triennial extends across Miami through a satellite program of exhibitions, activations, film screenings, community workshops, and outdoor interventions at P71, Red Thread Studios, Mundo Arte Gallery, and Outer Space.
This is not just an art event. It is a question asked in thread, in weave, in stitch: What is America made of — and who made it?
Presented during the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Miami Fiber Triennial 2026 turns away from official history and toward the intimate, material, and embodied narratives that actually hold a nation together.
Opening Night: June 11, 2026 · 6–9 PM
On view: June 11 – July 24, 2026
