Last Friday at the 2026 Health Summit on Early Relational Health, Dr. Shayl Griffith and Dr. Katherine Bottenhorn, CCF faculty members, shared insights on supporting young children and families.
We were also proud to support the launch of the Roadmap for Early Intervention, developed through Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s Blue Ribbon Children’s Commission, with support from many early childhood, mental health, and disability community leaders, including our Director, Dr. Katie Hart, who serves as a committee member.
Thank you to , MDC Head Start, and for your partnership. 💙

Your child is growing up in a digital world that is changing faster than most of us can keep up with.
From tablets and social media to AI and online content, today’s parents are navigating questions that didn’t exist a generation ago.
That’s why Parent Club, in partnership with our center at FIU, is helping families build healthy digital habits through free workshops like Let’s Talk Tech 2.0.

Hurricane season is here. 🌪️⛑️
Storm updates are already filling our screens, but preparedness goes beyond supplies. Disasters can have a major emotional impact on children, and the adults around them play an important role in helping them feel safe and supported.
Through our center and NEW DAY, professionals can learn how to provide Psychological First Aid for children before, during, and after traumatic events like hurricanes.
Join the upcoming training on Thursday, June 4 to learn practical tools for supporting children in emergency and disaster response settings.
