♟️🏆 A proud day for Citrus Grove K-8 Center!

Coach Enrique Piedra received our 2026 FIDE Gold School Award certificate at today’s Chess2Think Professional Learning Seminar. The award recognizes the Chess in Education program we’ve built to help students learn and grow in and beyond the classroom.

Thank you to our students, families, and staff who make this program possible. We’re also grateful to Dr. Jacqua Little, Ms. Elizabeth Tejada, Ms. Marite Espinosa, and Gil Luna for their support, and to Miami Killian Senior High School for hosting us today.

🏆♟️ UNDEFEATED—A PERFECT 3–0!

Congratulations to Citrus Grove chess student Rodrigo Ruiz for an outstanding performance at the Friday Night Rated Chess Tournament at Divine Savior Academy in Doral!

Competing in a rated tournament requires focus, preparation, confidence, and strong decision-making. Rodrigo rose to the challenge, won every game he played, and finished the night undefeated with a perfect 3–0 record, earning a trophy! 🔥🏆

Rodrigo’s journey represents what Educational Chess is all about: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, dedication, and competitive excellence. We are extremely proud of his continued growth. Keep up the outstanding work, Rodrigo! 👏♟️
