Looking back at 2025 it has been a year!! I am thankful and blessed.. Excited of what 2026 will bring. I’m ready!!

Some runs just don’t go as planned. Today was supposed to be an easy 8 miles, but by mile 3 my knee started hurting and from there, it was a grind. Every step hurt, my time was awful, and I finished limping.
But here’s the thing: not every run is about pace or distance. Some runs are about mental prep. I know that during the marathon, my body will hurt my knees, my legs, everything and I’ll still have to keep going.
So today became a lesson in pushing through discomfort. I finished all 8 miles, even when it sucked. Now it’s time to recover, rebuild, and get ready for the next one. Bad run? Maybe. Valuable run? Absolutely.
I spent many years feeling stuck, constantly worrying about what others would think and being afraid to start over yet again. But the truth is, every time you make a difficult decision to change something that doesn’t bring you happiness, you discover a better version of yourself. Don’t be afraid to start over, no matter how many times it takes. Embrace the journey of growth and transformation!
Today goal was to keep the heart rate lower 140 which it’s hard for me.. I am a slow runner as it is so this has me running even slower which I am not use to. But learning how to control your heart and breathing. Is what helps you run longer and be faster..
Back to lifting heavy to get this body strong to to be ready for 26.2 miles.. 9 weeks out..
So happy and proud that all my hard work and training has paid off—I’ve set a new personal best! Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and believed in me. This is just the beginning. Miami Marathon, here I come!
She’s running again!!
but what you don’t see is that every mile isn’t just distance covered, it’s a battle won. Each step helps clear my mind, steady my thoughts, and keep me grounded when life feels heavy. Running is my therapy, my release, my way of staying above the deep end. Every stride is a reminder that I’m still moving forward, stronger, lighter, and more in control than before.
