The team at Power Plus Learning is dedicated to matching highly skilled educators to students with specific educational objectives. We service students from the elementary level through high school. We have tutors qualified in a number of subject areas including: Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Vocabulary), Foreign Language (Spanish, French and German), Social Studies (History, World Cultures and Geography), Mathematics (Elementary level-Calculus), and Science (Life Science, Biology and Chemistry). We also have tutors qualified in the following areas: Learning Disabilities, Organizational Coaching, Homework Coaching, Remediation, Enrichment, Honors/AP Classes, Technology, and Educational Advocacy. We strive to connect students with the perfect tutor in order to maximize learning potential and realize goals. We work closely with families to ensure that students are benefiting from the services our tutors are providing. Our tutors are well-trained, compassionate individuals with a knack for providing high quality, individualized service. Our tutors pride themselves on their ability to tailor instruction to meet the specific needs of their students. The Power Plus Learning directors are professionals with years of experience in education, teaching and tutor placement. A member of our team will personally work with each client to find the right match based upon the client's needs and goals. Fall is in the air, and so is the pressure. 🍂

By this point in the school year, things are getting real. Grades are being posted, coursework is getting harder, AP and IB classes are in full swing, and important test dates are getting closer.

And students are feeling it.

This is often when a little extra support can make a big difference. Whether it’s help in a challenging class, preparing for the SAT, ACT, ISEE or SSAT, or simply getting organized and staying on track, students don’t have to navigate the pressure alone.

The numbers are telling us something.

A recent article in The Economist highlights a troubling trend. Student performance in reading, math and science has been declining, and the problem began even before the pandemic.

But one point stood out to us most.

As technology and AI become more powerful, our children don’t need to think less. They need strong foundational skills and the ability to think independently more than ever.
