Happy birthday to the mother of occupational health, Dr. Alice Hamilton! She was the first female faculty member at Harvard, fought for workers and women’s rights, and highlighted how important it was to serve those who are in need.

Today we remember Trayvon Martin, a young black child who was shot and killed 13 years ago today. Trayvon was unjustly judged for the color of his skin, and became a victim of a fatal hate crime at the young age of 17.
