They start with a cue.
Before the snack, the scroll, the procrastination, the cigarette, the drink, the argument, or the automatic yes, there is usually a moment your mind has learned to respond to.
Try this today:
1. Pause before the habit if you can.
2. Ask: “What happened right before the urge?”
3. Name the cue without attacking yourself.
4. Choose one smaller replacement action.
This is honesty in a practical form.
Not “What is wrong with me?”
A better question is:
“What pattern is my mind trying to repeat?”
