The urban environment presents some very unique challenges for survival in an emergency situation. Essential services are, truthfully, very delicate. Water is critical. Often, commercial buildings will have water spigots, albeit they are "Locked". So, you'll need a Sillcock tool to get some water. This one is quite useful.

GPS can and does suffer outages. There was a regional outage a few weeks ago in the western US. You might want to fetch and learn how to use a decent compass and map. This works on any tree, but it’s better with leaves directly exposed to sunlight. ☀️

🍃 Wrap a plastic bag around the leaves.
🍃 The sun forces water in the leaves to evaporate & it will be trapped & settle inside the plastic bag. You can poke a hole strategically in the bag to get the water out. **Make sure your plastic bags are clean.

🏥 Bug Out Bag Essential - Chapstick!

▪️Put on minor skin abrasions to stop small cuts from bleeding
▪️As a wound or rash heals, spread chapstick on it to protect it from dirt & infection
▪️Can be used as a mild anesthetic but won’t stop major pain
▪️Use as a temporary sunscreen, though nothing can replace actual sunscreen
▪️Use it as a candle. Put a match, string or half a Q-Tip in the stick & the chapstick will act similar to a candle’s wax
