This week, Knowledge Builders proudly joined the nationwide celebration of Lights On Afterschool, a movement that shines a light on the vital role afterschool programs play in supporting students, families, and communities.

Afterschool programs don’t just keep the lights on, we keep hope, learning, and opportunity alive. Afterschool programs provide a safe space for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while giving families the peace of mind that their children are supported and cared for beyond the school day.

At Knowledge Builders, our mission has always been to empower families through education, enrichment, and connection. We believe that when students are engaged and families are supported, communities thrive.

We’re grateful to be part of this powerful movement and remain committed to keeping the lights on for every child and family we serve. 💙

Mr. Cooper Knowledge Builders Executive Director had the incredible opportunity to serve as Acting Principal for a Day Homestead Senior High!

A huge shout out to Principal Samuel Louis and his amazing administrative team for the outstanding work they do every single day. Spending just one day in your role truly showed how much dedication, passion, and leadership it takes to keep everything running smoothly and support both students and staff.

You never fully appreciate the weight of someone’s responsibilities until you walk a day in their shoes and today was a powerful reminder of that.

Our KBF campers got hands-on with science by building their very own solar ovens! ☀️ Using the power of the sun, they learned how heat can be absorbed and trapped using reflective surfaces and insulation—turning pizza boxes into mini ovens! 🔥 The best part? Their tasty s’mores were the perfect reward. Learning is always sweeter with marshmallows involved! 🍫🔥

Water day was a hit right here at camp! 💦🕶️
We had water slides, water balloons, and fruit cups to keep us cool while having a blast. The campers were running, sliding, and laughing all day long — no better way to beat the heat and enjoy summer the KBF way! ☀️🍉💧

Thank you for an unforgettable time! 🎶🛼 From the music to the skating (and don’t forget the food!)—our Knowledge Builders campers had a blast! We can’t wait to roll back soon! 💫

Splish splash, what a splash-tastic day! 💦 Knowledge Builders spent the day soaking up the sun at Grapeland Water Park, and the smiles were endless. From slides to splashes, we made unforgettable summer memories! ☀️💙 More fun-filled days ahead—stay tuned!

Sky Zone takeover was a success! 💥 Our campers bounced off the walls—literally—flipping, flying, and laughing the entire time. From epic jumps to friendly competitions, today was all about high energy and even higher spirits! 😄 We’re making memories one jump at a time this summer! 🛫🎉

🎨 Our summer campers had an amazing in-house field trip with Mr. C from Painting with Faith! From brushstrokes to bold colors, the kids had a blast painting and unlocking their inner artist. 🖌️ We might just have the next Pablo Picasso in the making! 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨
