When I try to explain to someone on the outside how tight our school is, I really only need to say one thing…
I tell them: every year… 100+ students from all over the world fly to Miami, show up at my building, for one simple reason… hugs and bbq
This year I kept having the same conversation over and over:
“There’s no sh*theads here… like everyone here is genuinely NICE… how rare is that?!”
Cosmic Academy has accomplished a lot… 1000s of signed records, our students play every festival from EDC to Tomorrowland… but this might be the thing I’m most proud of
We’ve built a community of truly good people.
I was joking with someone at the BBQ… I said “you realize anyone here would help you move your couch right now?”
And it’s true. Everyone in this photo (and the friends who couldn’t make it) has a big heart and a kind soul.
When we review applications, we don’t care how “talented” or “experienced” someone is.
We care about one thing: their attitude.
That attitude and kindness is what’s allowed us to grow for the past 14 years.
It’s always special having everyone at my place each year.
