We join the FIU community in honoring Nicole Wertheim and her remarkable legacy. For 30 years, the Wertheim has been home to FIU Theatre, and we are deeply grateful for the impact she made possible.

They are fierce theatre makers, critical thinkers, collaborators, and problem solvers. Adaptable. Inventive. Fearless. The kind of artists who do not wait for a path to appear. They make one.

They’ve lived in worlds across time and genre. Comedy. Drama. Classical text. Contemporary work. Again and again, stepping into someone else’s skin and telling the truth of it.

They are pioneers. The first to earn their BFA in Musical Theatre from FIU. This program was a dream for many years, and we couldn’t have asked for a better class to bring it to life.

They’ve put in the hours. In the rehearsal room. In the studio. In the classroom. They’ve taken on musicals, drama, comedy, and Shakespeare and met every challenge head on. They’ve grown into bold, versatile performers who can do it all.

Tonight, Samantha Hernandez and Tyler Regalado took the stage for their Senior Showcases, sharing the work, growth, and artistry that defined their time at FIU Theatre. From productions to classroom projects, it was a powerful reflection on the worlds they’ve imagined and brought to life.

We are incredibly proud of these talented designers and grateful for all they’ve contributed to our stages. We can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them next. 💙💛
