Students in RE's Advanced Cell and Molecular Biology classes under faculty members Miranda Klees and Heather Marshall literally got their hands dirty this week; they used laboratory analysis of samples from their hands via Gram staining to better understand how the environment, hand washing and using hand sanitizer address the spread of bacteria. By bringing real-world scientific inquiry into the classroom, our students live out our core value of Honor & Excellence through active discovery and rigorous exploration.
