The pink Perfume Delight Rose was a complete surprise popping up in the pot with the red (somewhat tired) Chrysler Imperial. It's been a cold rainy January here in Miami so I am so happy to be able to harvest and smell these roses and also the Brindabella Rose from Australia (not pictured, as my friend went home with that). I originally obtained the Perfume Delight Rose back in 2017 and thought that it had died around 2020! This morning as I entered the room where it had sat overnight in a tiny glass vase I immediately smelled it's gorgeous fragrance. I have had a corporation since 2002. Imagine my concern when I discovered a few days ago there is a new federal filing requirement for corporations, LLCs, and partnerships that carries serious fines if not filed by Dec. 31, 2024. I believe sole proprietorships and general partnerships are exempt (but check). Late filing fees can be $500/day. Why didn't the Secretary of State inform corporate owners, etc.? I accidentally stumbled on this information and was shocked. From what I've read, the forms seem to be easy to fill out, but I haven't started them yet.
The name of the federal entity is Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI), which I personally find chilling like Big Brother whitewashing their intent. It's supposed to cut down on money laundering and other nefarious acts, we'll see the true intent in the future. Can you imagine not being informed about this, and next year getting hit with big fines? It's horrible.

Rainbow Studio Magic. This is the second perfume making Studio within my house and I love these sheer rainbow curtains that provide beautiful light inside yet help hide the clutter a bit when visitors are here. Just yesterday I finally fixed that beautiful pink rose clock and my friend Brian installed it at the perfect point above the curved arch. It really helped bring a finished aesthetic that absolutely delights me. Everyone should have a workspace that they delight in. Scroll left to see the beautiful clock that I've had for years but had difficulty finding replacement mechanism for due to its thick center. The clock is just a perfumerous delight!

Wow, it's been 14 years since that memorable last week in May 2010. We natural perfumers were working behind the scenes to get ready to launch the Mystery of Musk project on June 1st, I was finishing up the last chapter of my perfumery textbook, my mother was in the hospital for hip replacement, and my computer crashed. With all that happening I knew I could handle just about anything coming my way LOL. It's always fun to stop and smell the peach-scented flowers. These wonderful Frangipani flowers are still blooming like crazy and I have them in several areas of my garden. Of course, they're harvested to go into tincture for my perfumes.
