Here’s to the start of our fire prevention week. Thank you to our Miami Dade Rescue Department for coming out and teaching our students about the truck and its usage during a fire. As well as who to call in a case of an emergency.


Fire safety and prevention week is important in early childhood because it helps children learn how to stay safe from fires and prepares them to respond in an emergency. Children will develop a foundation of awareness and preparedness that can last a lifetime.

Here are some of our cozy area gems. Infants, Toddlers , and Preschool aged children often need a soft, quiet, protected place where they can relax and have some space away from loud or busy areas in the classroom.



Cozy areas help children manage their emotions and behavior and provide a safe space where they can calm down or solve problems:

Self-regulation
Children need support from adults to develop self-regulation skills. A cozy area can help children learn to soothe themselves and cope with changes and emotions

Comfort
A cozy area can provide a sense of home and comfort for children, teachers, and parents

Escape
A cozy area can provide a private space for children to escape from an overstimulating environment.

Learning
A cozy area can enhance the learning experience for young children.

Did you know kindness is one of the fruits of the spirit?
Today while reading the book “Beatriz Bananas and the Very Big Hat”, we had the opportunity of introducing kindness to our students so that they may grow up knowing to be kind and how to be kind.
