Shout out to Orange County, Florida Government mowers who are big fans of my traffic safety campaign signs and always keep them up and keep them well taken care of so hundreds of thousands of drivers can get our messages every year. I appreciate them so much! Having silent partners who help out in the smallest ways to continue sharing the message to help save lives on our roads means the world to me. Iβm proud to have been a Florida Department of Transportation traffic safety partner, educator, and survivor spokesperson for 13 years now coming this December. Thanks to everyone who helps keep our roads safer!

Hi Florida! Watch for motorcycles this holiday weekend and all summer. The riders are already sweating in this heat - donβt give them more things to sweat about.

π Always be aware of your surroundings when driving near commercial motor vehicles. Give big trucks plenty of room to merge and change lanes, and avoid cutting in front of them abruptly. These vehicles are often much larger and heavier than other vehicles on the road, and they require more time and space to stop and maneuver. π§

Someone is killed or injured by a drunk driver every 78 seconds. Existing technology can end this preventable crime and save more than 10,000 lives a year. Yet Americans are still waiting to see the promise of safer roads fulfilled.
GHSA and our roadway safety allies are deeply disappointed and disheartened that the U.S. Department of Transportation's NHTSA has missed a statutory deadline and made inadequate progress on a rulemaking calling for anti-drunk driving technology in new vehicles.
No more delays. It's time to act. Thousands of lives are at stake.
