is not “just .” It is one of the most important years in preparing a child to become a successful student.

This is the year children begin building the skills they will use every single day in elementary school: recognizing letters and sounds, forming words, developing early reading and writing skills, following multi-step directions, working independently, staying focused, and completing a task from beginning to end.

Today, our VPK students are working with words. But behind every word they build is something bigger: literacy, concentration, confidence, independence, and school readiness.

A strong academic foundation doesn’t start in Kindergarten. It starts before it.

MEET OUR EDUCATORS | MS. JANETH ZUCCOLOTTO 🧡
Special Education Coordinator

Since 2018, Ms. Janeth has been an important part of our schools, working alongside Ms. Renata Moreau and sharing a commitment to an education that recognizes that every child is different, and the support we provide should be, too.

As Special Education Coordinator at Bright Bridge Preparatory, Ms. Janeth’s goal is to ensure that each student receives individualized, consistent, and effective support based on their unique academic, behavioral, social, and developmental needs.

Her role goes far beyond coordinating services. She works closely with teachers, RBTs, BCBAs, families, and school administration, helping create a connected team around each child so that everyone is working toward the same goal: progress, independence, inclusion, and successful participation in the school environment.

What makes Ms. Janeth such an important part of Bright Bridge is not only her knowledge and experience, but her genuine love for education and her desire to never stop learning herself. She is constantly looking for new strategies, methods, and resources that can better support our students and the professionals working with them.

Over the years, her work alongside Ms. Renata has helped strengthen a philosophy we deeply believe in at OIA and BBP: children should not have to fit into one predetermined way of learning. It is our responsibility as educators to understand the child in front of us and find the tools that help that child grow.

And after all these years, she continues to bring the same dedication to our schools while always asking one important question: How can we do even better for our students? 🧡

In PreK3, learning letters doesn’t always mean pencil and paper. Our students learn through touching, tracing, creating, exploring, and PLAYING!

This hands-on letter activity helps strengthen letter recognition while also working on fine motor skills, coordination, focus, and independence, all while having fun (and making a little mess 😉).

Because at this age, some of the best learning happens when little hands get involved. 🧡

MEET OR EDUCATORS | Ms. WOLFF 🍎
Assistant Dean of Curriculum and General Knowledge Teacher

Now in her fourth year at OIA, Ms. Wolff begins a new chapter as our Assistant Dean of Curriculum, a role that feels like a natural extension of the educator she has already been within our schools.

In the heart educational vision is her belief that every child deserves and equal opportunity to thrive using the unique tools they were born with. No two children think, learn, create, communicate or approach the world exactly the same way, and she believes those differences are a blessing. They are what allow us to learn from one another and grow into stronger community thinkers.

Her goal is not for every student to reach their success in the same way, but to help each child recognize and use their individual strengths, abilities, and differences to work toward their maximum potential. Equal opportunity does not mean giving every child the same tools; it means ensuring each child has access to the support, challenge, and opportunities they need to grow.

For Ms. Wolff, mastery is more than a number. Academic achievement matters, but a grade alone cannot tell the full story of a child growth. Progress is also found in effort, perseverance, curiosity, confidence, and the willingness to keep growing when something does not come easily.

Just as importantly; education must make room for self-acceptance and emotional growth. When children are given the opportunity to understand themselves, they become better equipped to advocate for themselves.

With a strong background in Project-Based-Learning and curriculum development, Ms. Wolff brings this philosophy into her work at OIA and BBP by helping develop learning experiences that respond to the children in front of us, rather than expecting children to fit into one predetermined mold.

And while stepping into her new leadership role, Ms. Wolff remains in the classroom as our General Knowledge teacher, because staying connected to students, understanding how they learn firsthand, and continuing to grow alongside them remain at the hard of the educator she strives to be.

Music is more than an enrichment class, it’s brain training. 🎶

When students learn to play an instrument, they’re also strengthening skills that support them in the classroom and far beyond it.

Music helps develop focus, memory, coordination, discipline, patience, and problem-solving, while teaching children something equally important: progress takes practice.

They learn to listen, work as a team, recover from mistakes, and keep going when something feels difficult.

Because learning an instrument isn’t only about making music.
It’s about building skills for school, and for life.

At OIA, preschool goes beyond daycare. Our Pre-K3 program combines purposeful learning, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate academics to build a strong foundation for the years ahead. 🧡

⚽️ OUR FIRST ONE. 🦊🔥

This weekend, OIA FC Elite stepped onto the futsal court for our very first tournament at Blue Fury Sports Complex

We didn’t walk away with the wins, but we walked away with something bigger: experience, growth, and a whole lot of heart.

Both of our teams fought for every ball, every play, every minute. You could see how badly they wanted it. They gave everything they had, supported each other, and played until the very end with pride. ❤️‍🔥

This is what building a team looks like.
You compete. You learn. You grow. You come back stronger.

To our players: we are SO proud of you.
To our families: thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and believing in them.
To our coaches: thank you for believing in them and pushing them to the next level.
