Today, the Office of Mission and Formation led our Faculty & Staff Retreat, themed “Walking the Journey with Our Students.”

Throughout the day, faculty and staff experienced elements of the retreats our students participate in, from Days of Spiritual Reflection and the School of the Soul Retreat to the 1521 Retreat, Junior Encounter, and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We heard powerful testimonies from a senior, Belen moms, and Br. Eric Lastres, S.J. ’18, celebrated Mass on the Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe and reflected on what it means to accompany our students in faith.

We ended the day with plenty of energy, healthy competition, and laughter during the Faculty & Staff Olympics. It was a beautiful opportunity to fill our cups, reconnect with one another, and begin the new school year rooted in our mission.
“Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses.”
— Pope St. Paul VI, Evangelii Nuntiandi, 41
