Hello Earth Day 2026! 🌏

This past Saturday, collaborated with and at the 41th Annual Chicago Earth Day cleanup at Humboldt Park! This movement was focused on kids 5 to 12 years old and targeted collecting all the garbage around the historic lagoon at Humboldt Park. It was a cold morning, but we had lots of hot chocolate to keep the children warm. With a theme of "Our Power, Our Planet", what better to inspire real change than to teach young children that every person no matter how small can make a difference in our world.

Manabu Movement looks forward to future movements with !

A classroom of children.
Gone.
Every day.

That’s the reality in Gaza, where 28 children die each day, according to UNICEF.
One entire classroom-wiped out.

These aren’t just numbers.
They’re kids with drawings tucked into notebooks.
Half-finished dreams.
Songs they never got to sing.

At MaNaBu Movement, we believe every child deserves a future.
No matter where they’re born.
No matter what flag flies above them.

This isn’t about politics.
This is about children.

We cannot teach kindness and stay silent while children are dying.
We cannot raise mindful leaders without showing them what courage looks like.

💛 We stand with children.
💛 We stand with their families.
💛 We stand for life, for safety, and for peace.

A world where children are safe is the only world we want to build.

📌 If you feel this too-share this.
📌 Donate to organizations providing aid.
📌 Talk about it. Don't look away.

Let’s not become numb to injustice.
Let’s stay human.

This Earth Day, something new is blooming in Humboldt Park. 🌸

MaNaBu Movement and The Walt Disney Birthplace are teaming up — in collaboration with the Humboldt Park Earth Day Committee, and — to bring wonder, care, and community to one of Chicago’s most iconic green spaces. 🌳

On April 26, more than 500 volunteers will green and clean the park’s pathways. 🧤🧹
And along the lagoon, a quiet adventure begins…

✨ The StoryWalk ✨
A nature-based journey for kids ages 5–8, brought to life under the creative direction of producer John Heinsen — and guided by butterflies, imagination, and the spirit of a young boy named Walt. 🦋

It’s 1906. Walt has wandered off with a book about the Earth…
The children follow his trail — with three curious friends at their side: Ma, Na, and Bu.

They look. 👀
They wonder. 💭
They lead. 🧒🏽🌍

Because Earth Day isn’t just about what we clean —
It’s about what we grow.
And even the smallest hands can help shape the world. 🌱

✨️MaNaBu Movement & The Walt Disney Birthplace Bring StoryWalk to Chicago’s 40th Earth Day Celebration 🌏

Forty years ago, Chicago started something simple: neighbors cleaning up parks.
One bag, one tree, one block at a time.

Today, that small act has become a citywide tradition—thousands of hands, hundreds of parks, and a deep sense of pride in the places we share. 🌳💚

This year, as the city marks 40 years of Earth Day cleanups, MaNaBu Movement is proud to bring something new to the story—in partnership with the Walt Disney Birthplace, and in collaboration with the Chicago Park District and the Humboldt Park Earth Day Committee.

Because what better place to plant big ideas than Humboldt Park?

📍On Saturday, April 26, more than 500 volunteers will gather to green, clean, and care for this iconic space. There will be mulch and music, laughter and labor. And right in the middle of it all, there will be something a little different…

A quiet story unfolding along the lagoon.
A walk led not by adults, but by imagination.

✨️We call it the StoryWalk—an interactive journey for children ages 5–8 that blends nature, curiosity, and the spirit of a young boy named Walt… a 5-year-old dreamer in 1906 who wandered into the park with a book about the Earth. 📖

The kids will follow his footsteps.
They’ll meet Ma, Na, and Bu.
They’ll look up, look around, and learn to see like the butterfly in the book. 🦋

And along the way, they’ll discover something bigger:
That they don’t have to wait to lead.
That their questions matter.
That even small hands can help shape the world. 👐

This Earth Day isn’t just about what we clean. It’s about what we grow.

We hope you’ll join us.

👨‍🍳 From Graphic Design to Artisan Baking 🍞
For over 20 years, Christian worked as a graphic designer in Paris, immersed in the world of creativity and design. But something was missing.

Seeking a more hands-on, fulfilling craft, he trained at a prestigious culinary school in Paris and later opened The French Guy Café-Microbakery in Bansko, Bulgaria. More than just a bakery, it’s a community hub where people gather to share conversations, ideas, and a love for artisan bread.

🌍 A New Perspective on Education & Learning 📚
Beyond baking, Christian embraces an alternative approach to education inspired by the worldschooling movement in Bansko. He believes traditional education is outdated, focusing too much on rote learning rather than practical life skills.

In Bansko, families and digital nomads are redefining how we learn and live, prioritizing independence, hands-on experiences, and real-world education.

🌍 The Girl Who Grew Up with Wild Animals 🐆🌿

Not in a city. Not in a house. But in the heart of the African wilderness.

Meet Tippi Degré, the real-life Mowgli - a girl who spent her childhood playing with elephants, leopards, and snakes like they were family.

✨ “I speak to them with my mind, my eyes, my heart, and my soul - and they understand and answer me.”

For nearly 10 years, she explored the wonders of nature with pure trust and connection. Her parents, both wildlife photographers, captured every magical moment, proving that humans and animals can live in harmony.

🌿 What if we were closer to nature? Would the world be different?
