As part of this summer’s Heart Project, Seeking New Frontiers: An Exploration of Modern Immigrants’ Experiences, students participated in an Immigration Panel featuring immigration attorneys, judges, and immigrants whose families came to the United States in the 1960s and 1980s.
In partnership with the Sacred Heart Network, 12 middle school students from across the country are exploring modern immigration through direct engagement, reflection, and meaningful dialogue. Through storytelling and thoughtful Q&A, students gained a deeper understanding of the experiences, challenges, and opportunities that shape immigrant communities today.
A special thank you to Carrollton alumnae Maria Teresa (Maite) Hoyos ’81, Elizabeth Pines ’82, and Hon. Lourdes Rodriguez de Jongh ’72 for sharing their expertise, experiences, and wisdom with our students.

While our Sacre Cœur Choir gathered in St. Peter’s Square for the Sunday Angelus, Pope Leo XIV offered a special greeting to pilgrims from the United States and specifically recognized Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.
To hear the Holy Father mention our school in the heart of the Vatican is a blessing our community will long remember. We are grateful for this special moment of connection with the universal Church during our pilgrimage. ❤️

On this Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, those of us still on campus gathered in prayer for a beautiful celebration of Mass.
During the liturgy, Sr. Ann Taylor, RSCJ renewed her vows as a Religious of the Sacred Heart, a powerful witness to her lifelong commitment. Our educators also renewed their commitment to the mission of Sacred Heart education, recommitting themselves to the students we serve each day.
A moment of gratitude, unity, and deep joy as we celebrate the Heart that guides all we do.

The Taiwan Immersion Trip 2026 was an unforgettable journey of discovery, learning, and cultural exchange. Grade 8 students broadened their global perspective and deepened their understanding of Taiwanese culture.
The students began their experience at the Sacred Heart school in Taipei, where they connected with students and faculty, and toured the campus. Throughout their travels, they explored Taiwan’s rich history, innovation, art, and natural beauty, from the TSMC Museum of Innovation and National Taiwan University to iconic destinations such as Taipei 101, Sun Moon Lake, Jiufen Old Street, Yehliu Geopark, and the Taipei Confucius Temple.
Along the way, students experienced local traditions, sampled regional cuisine, and night markets, enjoyed views from Xiangshan Scenic Outlook and the Miramar Ferris Wheel, and gained insight into Taiwan’s industries, cultures, and heritage.

The Underwater Robotics team, the Sustainable Cyclones, made waves at the 2026 International SeaPerch Challenge! Out of 82 teams in the High School Stock Class, our students held their own on the world stage, finishing as the highest ranked Miami-Dade and Broward County team and placing Top 30 in the Obstacle Course with an incredible run time of 1 minute 18 seconds, the fastest obstacle course time in Carrollton SeaPerch history!

The France Immersion Trip was filled with beaucoup d’aventures!
Throughout the week, our Grade 8 students immersed themselves in the language, culture, history, and traditions of France. From exploring Versailles, Champs Élysées, the Louvre, Futuroscope, Joigny, and more, each day brought new discoveries and unforgettable memories.
In Joigny, the students visited the birthplace of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat and the vineyard where she loved to play and reflect. They also had the meaningful opportunity to sing the Cœur de Jésus at her shrine in Paris, joining generations of Sacred Heart students in this beautiful tradition of love and mission.
The students also connected with pen pals, explored Parisian neighborhoods, visited Notre Dame, Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, Giverny, the home of Monet, enjoyed French cuisine, and even learned the art of French pâtisserie by making their own macarons. Through authentic cultural experiences and meaningful exchanges, they gained a deeper appreciation for the language and culture they have studied in the classroom.
