WEEKEND TRADITIONS THAT COST ALMOST NOTHING BUT KIDS REMEMBER FOREVER

1. Friday night pizza and a movie. The movie changes. The feeling doesn't.

2. Saturday morning pancakes. Ordinary food becomes special when it belongs to a day.

3. A walk to get nowhere in particular. Kids talk differently when you're walking beside them instead of questioning them across a table.

4. Letting everyone take turns choosing the music. Small choices tell kids their voice matters.

5. Going outside after dark to look at the stars. Wonder is still free.

6. Calling a grandparent every Sunday. Relationships grow through repetition.

7. Playing the same board game until everyone knows exactly who cheats. Inside jokes are part of the inheritance too.

8. Making dessert together. The mess often becomes a better memory than the dessert.

9. Ending the weekend with one thing everyone is thankful for.

A good childhood isn't built only from big experiences.

Sometimes it's built from knowing exactly what your family does on Friday night.
