Our seniors have spent all Summer creating a campaign for Amelia’s 1931 📯🪭

Two groups from the Senior Capstone class have dedicated their time to building real advertising campaigns for an actual client, putting everything they’ve learned at FIU into practice.

This Summer, Isabella Zambrano helped make sure every game moment reached fans across platforms ⚽💻

Isa is Senior studying Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications with a minor in Marketing. As a Digital Content Operations Specialist at NBCU Telemundo Enterprises Isa helped manage the distribution of sports content across various streaming platforms like Peacock, Youtube, and other network channels. She reviewed and optimized titles, created captions and descriptions, and made sure the content was presented in a way that was clear, engaging, and aligned with the audience experience.

With experience in both in-house and agency environments she’s gained exposure to campaign development, client management, digital marketing, and creative strategy. She enjoys combining creativity with research and insights to create work that is both meaningful and effective.

We took over NBC 6 today 🎥

Students in FIU PRSSA toured the NBC 6 & Telemundo studios, met with anchors, production directors, marketing managers, and other media professionals, many of whom are proud FIU alumni 🤝

Our PR students got to see how stories reach the assignment desk, how they’re selected for coverage, and how Telemundo builds its brand with different campaigns.

Aleksandra is back at the iconic Hard Rock Hollywood for her second internship, this time in a new role 🎸

Senior and PRAAC student, Aleksandra Paredes, is spending her second semester interning at Hard Rock Hollywood. After starting as a Talent Engagement Intern, she’s now a Food & Beverage Administration Intern, where she’s supporting daily operations while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality management, guest experience, team leadership, and operational excellence. She also collaborates with teams across the resort to help create the dining and entertainment experiences Hard Rock is known for.

As a PRAAC major, Aleksandra loves creativity, storytelling, and building connections that bring ideas to life. Combined with her minor in Hospitality, she’s found the perfect environment to thrive, creating meaningful and memorable experiences for others.

Outside of work and school, she’s a self-proclaimed foodie who loves to travel, using every trip as an opportunity to learn from different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. No matter where she is, Aleksandra is always looking for opportunities to grow, connect with others, and make a positive impact through the experiences she helps create. 🍽️
