The class is being taught by Kevin Perez, who has multiple shotgun certifications. This is a one day course taking place on Sunday, January 28, we will be shooting at a private range for this course. The maximum class size is 8 students... this class will sell out. The price is $399.

The course is not for total newbies, if you've never attended a shotgun course, or taken any advanced fi****ms training, you will have to take our NRA Basic Shotgun course, which is the day before, Saturday, January 27. Our NRA Basic Shotgun course is normally $199 - but if you're taking out Tactical Defensive Shotgun class the next day, then the Basic Shotgun course is only $100.

If you're an NRA Instructor or have taken our 14 Hour Intensive Concealed Carry Clinic, then you can skip the Basic Shotgun prerequisite.

Picked up a new G***k 19. I decided to pick up a gun with a red dot so I can get some trigger time on one to help better assist my students that use a red dot. Basically... any excuse to get a new gun 😆

Congrats to Brown Belt ! Along with being one of our toughest fighters (and our first female mma fighter), she’s also a certified fi****ms instructor under us. She will serve as a great police officer, we’re all very proud at . We have many police officers at FFA and now we have one more!

Huuuuuge congrats to Luis, Yanet, Ana, Armando, Andrew, and Rhon for making the Amateur Fight Team! The tryouts were brutal, we started with 15 people and ended with these six warriors! To everyone else that tried out, much respect for coming out and testing yourself - took a lot of courage - and we’ll do this again in about four to five months. The center of my universe! I can’t believe she’s 10 already, it feels like a week ago that she was born and I was crying like a baby in the hospital 😂. I didn’t really care to have kids and I remember people kept asking me if I was ready to “have my life changed” - and I distinctly remember ranting to my brother about how that’s such bull crap... I remember telling him that reproduction is no big deal, that roaches reproduce, lol, that having a kid would be like having another roommate or sibling in the house... that only people with nothing else going on in life make having kids a big deal... I instantly knew I was dead wrong when she was born! When I saw her, it hit me like a tidal wave, the emotion - the love - is not describable, and as cliche as it sounds, you really do have to a parent to relate. I remember as a non-parent thinking that sounded wack - but it’s the truth. I would compare it to trying to describe color to someone that was born blind. Everyday I wake up grateful for my family

In almost 20 years of teaching, having taught literally thousands of students at our academy, I’ve only promoted ten people to black belt. Each one of them have been exceptional and Mike Bernhard is one of them. Here he posted his diploma on IG. I’m looking forward to promoting more black belts in the near future, hopefully another one in 2020.

9 years ago I accomplished something very few people have ever achieved. I was awarded my Black Belt under Marcos & David Avellan. BJJ and MMA have provided me with enough memories to fill several lifetimes. I’m eternally grateful for the experiences that martial arts has given me.
