Congratulations to Bruce Vitor, Director of Research and Operations at Jack D. Gordon Institute
who is currently in briefing and guards from Argentina, , and Brazil on JGI’s Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing dashboard.

In collaboration with the The Pew Charitable Trusts , JGI is showcasing its dynamic and interactive dashboard, which provides information about areas where IUU is taking place.

Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing is dangerous because it depletes fish stocks, damages marine ecosystems, and undermines efforts to manage fisheries sustainably. It also harms coastal economies and legitimate fishers by distorting markets and enabling criminal networks to profit at the expense of law-abiding communities.
