TRIO EOC has been busy this month!

We have been attending resource fairs, job fairs, and speaking to the community! The group reflected a wide range of needs and achievements—some students are working toward completing their high school diploma, while others have already been awarded the Presidential Scholarship.

This work is complex, but it’s meaningful. Seeing students at different points in their journey and being able to support them directly is what makes it worth it.

Apprenticeships are amazing. A guaranteed job, full time wages, benefits, and education in industry certifications….the best part? All free. Yes. FREE. 🆓

The new Talent Search competition to renew funding includes $175M—enough to support ALL current programs and even expand access.

Instead:
• No funding guarantees
• Only ~175 projects funded nationwide instead of 517 currently funded
• Up to $10M directed to a single large organization

This is how programs get eliminated.

TRIO provides:
• FAFSA support
• College admissions guidance
• GED pathways
• Career advising
• Long-term student support

A great day at the City of North Miami Beach Public Library Literacy Fair today! It was cold but everyone showed up and made the event warm and memorable! Grateful to share our TRIO program at community events and show everyone what TRIO EOC can do to help you go back to school!

Thank you to the Miami-Dade County Public Library System for allowing us the opportunity to present to their GED students about our TRIO programs. Education is the pathway to success and TRIO EOC program is here to help!
