We refer to tea as Liquid Meditation and for good reason; tea and meditation have been intertwined for thousands of years. Sipping tea in meditative contemplation is a wonderful way to honor yourself and balance your mind, body and soul.
Considered a moving meditation, it is a way to connect with oneself on a deeper level while allowing the mind to focus on the simple task of savoring the tea, and exploring the energetic experience of the tea.
Every Thursday and Sunday at 10am, we will sit with tea as a meditative practice. The meditations are designed to expand your mind and support conscious growth by aligning energies with the natural world.
Tea transforms the ordinary into sacred.
Tea Temple begins this Sunday (tomorrow) at 10am

Botanists as spies! Colonizers ! War! The story of tea in India is filled with beautiful lands, the British people’s insatiable thirst for tea, intrigue and espionage. And ultimately about some of the best tea in the world.
India is one of the world's leading countries in tea production. Although many varieties of tea are produced (including green, white & oolong), it is best known for its black tea from the gorgeous regions of Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri. Of course, we cannot discuss tea in India without exploring the beloved creamy, sweet Masala Chai, which uses the country's rich spices.
Join me on Saturday to sip through the flavors of India and be transported to faraway lands. If there’s time, we will also sip on sunshine from neighboring Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Don’t miss this bold, and delicious introduction to the Tea of India. Book soon, these classes always sell out!

Hello March!
As we saunter into springtime in the Northern Hemisphere, to me, everything feels purposeful. Deliberate. Intentional.
Collective progress is being made on a global scale in positive direction. It FEELS like an important time. At the end of February, we entered the what is known as the Year of the Metal Ox according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. The Year of the Ox will be a year of strength and endurance. It’s no longer just about survival but about grounding ourselves and solidifying our plans for the future. Ultimately, this is an important time to work on developing stronger personal discipline, clarifying boundaries, and practicing patience to in order to make progress. Your efforts this year will be supported and well rewarded.
Tea is one of the best teachers and tools to support you in all of those endeavors! If you would like to learn why and how, join me in one of my public classes this month, or set up a private or virtual session here - there’s is nothing else in the world I enjoy more than sharing tea and tea knowledge.
The new offerings this month are pretty spectacular - there’s Tea Mixology (TEA COCKTAILS!), Tea vs. Coffee (with my pops ) and Tea of India. Also another deep Full Moon Tea Ceremony!
Looking forward to sharing tea with you.

Saturday February 27th 5:30pm-7:00pm
The tea ceremony is only the beginning.
I say unto you, your every act should be a ceremony.
If you can bring your consciousness, your awareness, your intelligence to the act, if you can be spontaneous, then there is no need for any other religion.
Life itself will be the religion.

We refer to tea as Liquid Meditation and for good reason. Sitting with tea in meditative contemplation is a wonderful way to honor yourself and balance your mind, body and soul. A tea ceremony is a quiet, contemplative, moving meditation, as you focus on the tea and yourself. While you sip the tea, you will relax into in the calm and stillness surrounded by the beautiful surroundings of . It’s a great way to take a break from our busy lives and to relax with a hot bowl of tea.
We will journey us through several mindfully sourced teas in a ceremony of living and experience a holistic integration of breath and space, frequency and vibration - stillness and movement.
Tea IS liquid meditation.
If you are want to do a tea mini retreat, I am also offering a Chinese Tea Tasting at Fairchild from 1 to 3pm that day!
Spend the day with me drinking tea!

When I teach about tea preparation, and gongfu cha we spend a bit of time discussing time. Timing in tea is a very important factor when it comes to the end result; too much time and you can over steep your leaves, and get an unpleasant cup. Too little time and you won’t get the proper representation of the tea.
As they say timing is everything.
With that being said- time of the essence to book your shopping, meditations or tea sessions at Chaguan for the month of December!
We have limited appointments available.. book now through our site’s nifty scheduler or DM (or text) for your appointment.
Available Services
* Tea Shopping Sessions (30 minutes)
* Tea Meditations (45 minutes)
* Tea Sessions (75 minutes)
Don’t miss out in December. Use your time wisely and book soon!

Is your tea cabinet/drawer/shelf longing for some new leaves to delight? Perhaps a new clay pot, or gaiwan to prepare your leaves?
Do you need bespoke gifts for the holiday season?
Perhaps you want to purchase tea but require more attention than our website offers?
As much as I love the convenience of shopping online, it’s not always as supportive as a face to face purchasing experience. Especially when it comes to shopping for tea!
A 30 minute private shopping appointment allows you to explore what new selections have arrived this week without coming in for a full session!
Available in person at Chaguan in Miami. Virtual appointments also available for those who reside out of the area!
Easily make your appointment online through our scheduler ( )or DM (or text) to get on the calendar.
See you soon !

“You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.” – Zen Proverb
Too busy, or too stressed ! These anxious, on-edge energies can be overwhelming ! For me, today, this mean a lot of tea, more meditative moments than usual and continuous conscious breath.
One of the teas I will be sitting with is a delightful, contemplative Taiwanese green tea, Fragrant Jade.. pure liquid meditation.
This first plucking of the year, early Spring harvest of Qing Xin Gan Zhi (a sub varietal of the Qing Xin cultivar traditionally used to produce oolongs) is an ethereal, floral, fragrant masterpiece. This hand picked, unoxidized green tea has fresh balsam notes reminiscent of high mountain oolongs yet has the creamy vegetal notes of a balanced green tea. The joyful floral fragrance is accented by a sweet roasted almond finish.
These divine leaves will calm my thoughts and my breath. And they’re fu***ng delicious. So there’s that.
I highly recommend taking some time today to sit. Breathe. Meditate. Reflect. And as always, drink tea. Lots and lots of tea.
