Older Wiser Law Students-Miami Law We also recognize that some of the traditional get-to-know-your-classmates events may have lost their luster for those who have been over 21 for a while.

Mission: OWLS is a UM Law student organization that promotes and advocates for the unique needs of the non-traditional law student in order to facilitate integration, build relationships, and provide a supportive environment for its members. OWLS Concept: OWLS is a student organization dedicated to fostering a supportive community for non-traditional law students while promoting and advocating for our members at the University of Miami School of Law. While we don't take ourselves too seriously, we recognize that law school poses unique challenges for those who are transitioning from other careers, balancing spouses and/or children, or simply took some time off before law school. Thus, we offer a different setting for our members to meet and interact. The organization is open to all students who share its mission.

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is easing into the semester just fine. To kickoff the semester, OWLS is hosting a Potluck (and our first meeting) at Professor Tamayo's home!

There are two potential dates that we can have the late lunch/early dinner at her home on a Saturday: September 17th or September 24th. (The date with the most votes will be the date of the Potluck.)

Please RSVP to [email protected] BY TOMORROW AT 5PM saying which date works best for you and what item you are bringing. All utensils will be provided so we just need food!

Lets make the Potluck a family affair - bring your spouse, children, and any other family/friends to the event!!! :)
