Join us this coming Saturday for a planting and maintenance workday followed by lunch at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park where over the last 10 years, TREEmendous Miami has planted over 11,000 trees to restore the ecological value of this wonderful site.
Directions: Turn left at the traffic light on the Rickenbacker Causeway that is right across from UM's Rosenthiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, and right before the Causeway crosses a bridge over Bear Cut to enter Key Biscayne. As you enter the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, tell the parking attendant that you are a volunteer with TREEmendous Miami so that you will not be charged for parking or entrance.
We will meet at one of the Pavilions near the beach, look out for our banner!
Be sure to wear long pants, closed shoes, sun protection and bring gloves
if you have them. TREEmendous will also have a supply on hand.
