La Prima Casa Montessori School

This morning, our Lower Elementary students hopped on the train and headed to Mister O1 in Brickell for a well-earned celebration! But this field trip was about much more than pizza and fun.

Throughout the school year, our students participated in a special Marketplace project, creating and selling handmade items through their own entrepreneurial efforts. They learned so many valuable lessons, including in planning, responsibility, creativity, teamwork, and money management.

And today, they enjoyed the ultimate reward: a field trip they helped pay for themselves!

In true Montessori spirit, this experience brought learning to life. The children saw firsthand how hard work, perseverance, and collaboration can turn a goal into reality.

We could not be more proud of their dedication and accomplishment. What a memorable way to celebrate the end of the school year!

Our students in Ms. Laura’s class had a very special visitor last week - baby Daphne, Lincoln’s little sister! 💖👶🏼

We had the wonderful opportunity to learn how to give a real baby a bath right in the classroom.

These real-life experiences help children develop empathy, confidence, and practical life skills in a meaningful and memorable way.

In Ms. Maria’s class, art becomes a beautiful way for children to connect with history, express gratitude, and share their creativity. 🇺🇸❤️

As Memorial Day approaches, our students learned about the brave men and women who protected our country and the importance of honoring those who gave their lives in service. They also discovered the meaning behind the American flag and used its colors to create their own unique artistic interpretations.

The children created paper poppies after learning how these flowers first bloomed across the battlefields of Flanders during World War I, becoming a symbol of remembrance for fallen heroes.

At La Prima Casa Montessori, art is more than just creating something beautiful - it is a form of self-expression, storytelling, and understanding the world around us. We are so proud of the thoughtful conversations and meaningful creations happening in our Montessori classrooms every day.

This morning, Ms. Laura’s class at La Prima Casa Montessori celebrated Family Day with a fun beach-themed event filled with love, creativity, and meaningful memories. 🌊🐚☀️

The children sang a special song for their families and shared heartfelt moments during a “Message in a Bottle” activity, where they wrote sweet notes about their loved ones and sealed them in bottles as keepsakes and future time capsules. 💌

What made this celebration even more special was the incredible work the children have been preparing over the past two weeks. They carefully crafted seashell decorations, painted their favorite ocean animals, and created beautiful family picture frames decorated with real sand and shells. 🐠🦀🐬

At La Prima Casa Montessori, we cherish opportunities that bring families into the classroom and allow children to express love, gratitude, and creativity through hands-on learning experiences. ♥️
