What a special way to wrap up an unforgettable Summer Camp at La Prima Casa Montessori!

Our Elementary students put their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to the test during our very own Summer LEGO Competition - and they amazed us with their innovative designs and incredible imagination!

At La Prima Casa, hands-on learning isn’t just an activity - it’s the foundation of how children discover, create, and grow. Challenges like this encourage critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, and the confidence to turn ideas into reality - all core principles of the Montessori philosophy.

The competition concluded with a special Awards Ceremony, celebrating every student’s creativity, effort, teamwork, and innovative thinking. 🏆

We can’t wait to see what our young Lego engineers build next! 🚀

This week at La Prima Casa Montessori Summer Camp, our children enjoyed a glowing adventure during our Glow-in-the-Dark Art Party! 🎨💚

Dressed in white, our young artists had so much fun creating vibrant masterpieces with glow and neon paints that lit up the room. It was a magical experience filled with creativity and imagination.

As always, your child’s safety comes first. All of the art materials we used were non-toxic, hypoallergenic, organic, and dye-free, making this colorful activity both exciting and safe for little hands.

Something very special is happening at La Prima Casa Montessori!

Our Elementary students have been working hard designing, building, and bringing their incredible LEGO ideas to life. We are so excited to showcase their imaginative projects in our Summer LEGO Exhibit!

From colorful structures to unique creations, each masterpiece reflects our students’ creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and dedication.

The exhibition is now on display in the Library all week, and our students can’t wait to share their hard work with families, teachers, staff, and friends of our school community.

We invite all parents, students, and visitors to stop by and admire the wonderful LEGO masterpieces our Elementary students have built. Your encouragement and support mean so much to our young creators! ♥️🧩

💦🚒 This week, our children had an unforgettable hands-on learning experience as we welcomed Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to campus for a special Fire Safety Week visit!

Our students proudly presented the firefighters with handmade cards, climbed aboard a real fire truck to explore its equipment and learned how the firefighter heroes help keep our community safe.

They also discovered important fire safety tips, learned what to do in an emergency, and ended the day with plenty of joy as the firefighters sprayed water from the fire truck hose - a fun and refreshing surprise on a warm summer day! ☀️💦🚒

Experiences like these are an important part of the Montessori philosophy, bringing learning to life through real-world exploration, meaningful community connections, and hands-on discovery. By meeting local heroes and engaging all of their senses, children build confidence, curiosity, and practical knowledge they'll carry with them for years to come.

Last week at La Prima Casa Montessori Summer Camp, our classrooms transformed into an exciting summer farm! 🚜🌾🐄

From hands-on learning to unforgettable experiences, our campers explored farm life in true Montessori fashion:

🐐 Met adorable animals during a special Petting Zoo visit
🧈 Made fresh farm-style butter and enjoyed it with homemade bread
🧇 Baked delicious waffles and decorated delicious animal sugar cookies
🎨 Created farm-themed crafts and keepsakes
🌱 Learned about life on the farm and the important role of farm animals
🌍 Researched animals and discovered whether they live on land or in the water

A special round of applause goes to our amazing 4th grader, Alejandra, who impressed everyone with her wonderful research presentation about sea turtles! 🐢 Her curiosity and enthusiasm were an inspiration to all.

At La Prima Casa Montessori, every weekly theme is designed to spark curiosity, encourage independence, and bring learning to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences. It’s amazing to see our children learning by doing, creating, exploring, and discovering together.

🐰🐐🐥 Our Summer Camp got a very special visit this week... a petting farm!

From fluffy bunnies to little goats and adorable chicks, our children enjoyed meeting the animals and connecting with them up close.

Moments like these are not just about fun - they're an important part of the Montessori philosophy. At La Prima Casa Montessori Summer Camp, summer isn’t a break from learning - it’s an opportunity to keep growing.

Each morning, our campers participate in our Montessori Work Period, where they engage with hands-on materials that strengthen concentration, independence, confidence, and academic skills. By continuing their Montessori work throughout the summer, children maintain the progress they’ve worked so hard to achieve during the school year and return to school feeling confident and prepared.

🎩🐇 Down the rabbit hole we went!

As part of our Fairytale Week, our Summer Camp children had a magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, beautifully created by Ms. Deborah. ♥️✨

Wearing adorable headbands featuring their favorite “Alice in Wonderland” characters, our little guests enjoyed delicious treats and plenty of imaginative fun. It was a whimsical celebration that brought this beloved story to life!
