JROTC teaches its cadets how to become effective leaders, act responsibly, and provide beneficial services to the community. JROTC also teaches teamwork and self-discipline, while cadets gain an increased feeling of self-confidence and self-esteem. Students get a sense of self-confidence and self-esteem by being put into many leadership positions within the ranks of the program. JROTC benefits the student, school, community, and nation in a great number of ways.
