Today we’re spotlighting , a community organization in based in both Miami and NYC that uses arts-based activism, healing techniques, and leadership development to end cycles of poverty, violence, and oppression for young women, femmes, and transgender and gender non-conforming youth of color. Through their Sisterhood Academy, Youth Leaders Board, and other programming, SSLC has created a community of mentors, organizers, activists, educators, and healers.

The first organization we’re spotlighting for Womxn’s History Month is . Girl Power's programs are developed to empower young girls to get more out of life. The organization promotes positive behavior, enhances social skills, and improves the academic performance of girls aged 11-17.
To support Girl Power, you can serve as a mentor through their Sister Circle program, or volunteer. You can also make a donation directly to the organization. For context, a donation of $10 provides 30 days of after-school transportation for a deserving young girl so she can get the academic and behavioral support.
