• Received grant from Seattle Office of Cultural Arts facilitating the professional release of Omo Alagba’s “Iyaranla (Oro Cantado)” CD on Ibori Records (2013)
• Received grant from 4Culture (Seattle, Washington) to document Omo Alagba’s work in the US Northwest, and the presentation of its Iyaranla CD at the Orisha Conference in Ile Ife, Nigeria (2013)
• Enlisted to present musical selections at cultural conferences nationwide (e.g. The Spirit of West Africa

• Conducted performance-based seminars on Orisha and Bomba rhythms
• Collaboratively instructed musical cultural arts and literacy courses in teacher education

YORUBA PERCUSSIONIST

(Winter 1991-Present)

• Professional presenter/conservator of Yoruba sacred arts for heritage-based rites/celebrations, nationwide
• Invited by the Abimbola chieftaincy of Oyo, Nigeria to present traditional music at royal celebrations
• Featured on KBCS 91.3 FM (Bellevue, WA) in segment exploring Afro-Caribbean sacred rhythm and song


DRUM FABRICATOR

• Producer of handcrafted Afro-Cuban bata drums and shekere (beaded gourds)
