Stylistically-versatile 17. yr. old VALERIE YOUNES, (a Lyric Soprano -student of Oscar Diaz, Jr.), sings "Never Enough" from The Greatest Showman. She was chosen by the multiple award winning actor/singer Hugh Jackman to perform this epic piece in his "HUGH JACKMAN Live!" World Tour 2026 which took place at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Friday March 6th, 2026.
Soprano MONICA CAMAFREITA (Right), who trains with PMI's Director Oscar Diaz, Jr., sings the part of Gioconda in "E un anatema" a Duet from the opera La Gioconda by Ponchielli.
Laura is sung by Lara Tillotson.
Mary Pinto is the Pianist/Accompanist.
This concert celebration: "Tichina Vaughn and Friends Celebrate MLK" was on Jan. 17, 2026 & produced by SAS Performing Arts Company in NYC and was hosted by world renowned Mezzo-Soprano opera star Tichina Vaughn.

Congrats to Bass Baritone JOSE VAZQUEZ who this summer is performing in Germany. Vazquez, who trains with Oscar Diaz, Jr., will be heard in the title role in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's production of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro & also as the Harlekin in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos with the Dramatic Voices Program in Berlin.

On this reel you will hear them perform (& rehearse) snippets of Mozart's ACH ICH FÜHLS ("Pamina's aria") sung by Valerie Younes (Acc. Michael Harris) and O ISIS UND OSIRIS (an aria which is sung by Pamina's father: Sarastro) here performed by Thom Sebastian Ferrer. Both arias are from The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte)

The very versatile CHRISTINA ALEXANDER (who trains classically with Performer's Music Institute's Director Oscar Diaz, Jr.) sings "Free Again/I WILL SURVIVE" -the Gladys Knight version of this icon anthem. This was the grand finale to her recent 2 hour performance at Miami's Pinecrest Gardens' Banyan Bowl. Lyric Bass-Baritone JOSE VAZQUEZ (a long time student of PMI's Director Oscar Diaz, Jr.) sings "Se vuol ballare" from Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart. In this aria Figaro, who is the valet to the Count Almaviva, has just found out that the Count has shown Susanna (Figaro's soon bride-to-be) some interesting attentions -and that her room (within the palace) has been located very close to the Count's. Thus challenged, the witty Figaro sings: "If you wish to go dancing, my little Count, go right to it; but I will be the one playing the tune."
