The Varsity Golf team won the Catholic Quad Tuesday at Eagle Trace Golf Club, posting a 300 team score to finish first in the four-team field. The Wolverines finished 18 shots ahead of Archbishop McCarthy (318), followed by Columbus (328) and Cardinal Gibbons (366). The Wolverines put together a strong and balanced performance, with four players finishing among the top five individually and all four counting scores in the 70s:
- Matthew Gonzalez '27 - 74 (T-2nd)
- Ryan Nieto '27 - 74 (T-2nd)
- Marley Caudle '28 - 75 (4th)
- Beckett Castro '28 - 77 (T-5th)
- Thomas Zur '31 - 85

"Another strong team performance and a great way to close out a busy stretch of tournament golf for the Wolverines," said Coach Carlos Rodriguez.

Belen Varsity Golf was back in action Monday with its B team at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair Boys Invitational at Palmetto Golf Course, taking on a large field of 22 teams and 118 golfers from across Miami-Dade County.

The Wolverines posted a 323 team score, finishing 10th overall in the 22-team field.

Leading the way was freshman Luke Mofsky '30, who turned in an impressive 74 to finish 12th individually among 118 players. Senior Ralphy Villoldo '27 added a solid 79, giving Belen two scores in the 70s.

Another valuable tournament experience for the Wolverine lineup against one of the larger fields on the schedule, and a particularly strong showing from Mofsky against a field of nearly 120 players.

On September 25, the Middle School Swim Team defeated Ransom Everglades 89-50 and Doral Academy 91-49. "Our swimmers fought hard from start to finish, encouraged each other, and proved what can happen when we work together as one team," said Coach Niuvys Rosales.

The Middle School Cross Country team won both races of the Larry Wooten Invitational on Friday at Larry and Penny Thompson Park.

In the Varsity Race the Wolverines took first place scoring 41 points to finish ahead in a field of 25 schools. Aiden Cruz won the race with a time of 12:15.58, he was followed by top 10 finishers Jake Rubiera (4th) and Sebastian de Oliveira (5th), the other team members were Diego Ferer, Vittorio Stasi, Jacob Jasinski, Rowen Urbina, Jose Sosa, Tommaso Stasi and Raj Chanda.

In the Junior Varsity race the team dominated the race with six runners in the top 10 spots. Belen scored 27 points to finish in 1st place ahead of 20 teams. Leading the Wolverines were Rafael Areces (4th), Gregory Martinez-Lejarza (5th), Mario Garcia-Serra (6th), Lucas Rodriguez (8th), Adrian Rial (9th), Charles Perez (10th). The other top 20 finishers for the Wolverines were Martin Hanania, Aiden Lowry, Brandon Ramirez, Tomas Garrido, Rafael Sanchez, and Kade Rojas.

The Belen Varsity Golf team traveled to The Club at Gateway for the South Florida PGA West Coast High School Championship in Fort Myers, FL, competing against a strong field of 12 teams and 64 players in the two-round event.

The Wolverines finished 6th overall with a two-day team total of 616.

Belen's scores over the two rounds on the par-72 course:
Ryan Nieto '27: 73-77 - 150
Matthew Gonzalez '27: 75-77 - 152
Marley Caudle '28: 79-78 - 157
Thomas Zur '31: 80-78 - 158
Beckett Castro '28: 83-77 - 160

The Wolverines saved some of their best golf for the finish, with all five players shooting in the 70s in the final round. Nieto, Gonzalez and Castro each posted 77s, while Caudle and Zur came in with 78s.

Eighth grader Thomas Zur '31 continues to shine and contribute at the varsity level, following his opening-round 80 with a 78 in the final round and once again providing a counting score for the Wolverines.

Nieto led Belen for the championship with a 150 (+6) total, including an opening-round 73, while Gonzalez finished just two shots behind at 152 (+8).

Yesterday at the Gian Zumpano Aquatic Center, earned two dual-meet wins, defeating Ransom Everglades 118–52 and Mast Academy 104–65! Alec De Angulo led the way, winning the 200 IM (2:01.19) and 100 backstroke (54.46), and swimming on two winning relays. Individual wins also came from Michael Weglarz (200 free), Juan Diego Leanez (100 breast), and Andy Plasencia (500 free).
