In my early years of NYC I always had the privilege of being your Uke for seminars and in classes you taught. I spent several formative years training with you and learning with you. For 4 hours you stood with Chris Chen, dutifully testing and guiding me through the class where I earned my Shodan. Your smile and laughter was abundant and room filling. Your kindness and charm was limitless and offered freely and unmeasured. Ever A gentleman and role model to a young man too jaded and hardened by life to smile, I am grateful for the presence and spark of warmth you unintentional taught me by just being the larger than life you. And though our paths diverted for life and 100 other reasons that never really matter, my training days in manhattan never cross my mind without the thoughts of you and your abundant joyful and calm presence. Rest in Peace my friend.

First training of the year at Ookami Dojo. Had a great 3 hour class on fundamentals with taijutsu, shuriken and Kenjutsu. Looking forward to the new year.
