✨🤝🌎 On Workers’ Day, let us remember that work is not only a means of survival: it is dignity, a life project, and a human right. Every person deserves fair conditions, a sufficient wage, respect, safety, and the real possibility of building a future through their own effort. To honor workers is to defend a society where living from one’s work is not a privilege, but a guarantee.

Todo ser humano merece condiciones justas, salario suficiente, respeto, seguridad y la posibilidad real de construir futuro con su esfuerzo. 🇺🇳 🇺🇸 "The drafters of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights extensively reviewed approximately 50 contemporary constitutions to ensure the comprehensive inclusion of rights from diverse cultures and nations. Notably, the influence of the United States Declaration of Independence and the Four Freedoms proclaimed by U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt in 1941 was significant. President Roosevelt defined essential human freedoms as freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear, explaining that 'freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere.' These principles served as great inspiration for the UDHR's provisions. However, it's essential to recognize that while the UDHR was influenced by documents like the United States Declaration of Independence and the Four Freedoms, it transcends any single national or cultural tradition, aiming to articulate fundamental human rights that apply to all people regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, or background."

A commitment to human rights, as an ethical stance, should compel all of us to act. You don’t need to be a lawyer or hold a position of power; you don’t even need to be an adult. Both small and large actions can help make our communities places of better coexistence, greater respect, and a more just and equal society. No one is outside this call to be a promoter or defender of human rights—this action is both a right and a duty for each and every person.

El compromiso con los derechos humanos, como actitud ética, nos debiera movilizar a todos. No se requiere ser abogado/a o tener un cargo de poder; tampoco se requiere ser mayor de edad. Pequeños y grandes actos permiten hacer de nuestro entorno un lugar de mejor convivencia, mayor respeto, más justo e igualitario. Nadie está fuera de ese llamado a ser promotor o defensor de los derechos humanos, y esta acción constituye tanto un derecho como un deber de todas y cada una de las personas.

✨📚🕊️ Que el 2026 nos encuentre más humanos y más responsables: educando en derechos humanos no como teoría, sino como práctica diaria —dignidad en el trato, justicia en las decisiones y empatía como brújula. Que haya más escuelas que enseñen a pensar, más comunidades que aprendan a escuchar y más personas dispuestas a defender la libertad y la paz de todos. Educar en derechos humanos nos toca a todos.
