Good food, great company, and some serious competition in the volleyball pit made for a great evening at our Aggie Cookout! We loved getting our Aggie family together to kick off the semester.

Six NEO Agriculture students had the opportunity to attend the AgHERculture Collegiate Conference last Friday at the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion!
We are proud of these ladies for representing NEO with such grace and excellence. Many thanks to ODAFF for hosting this event and for investing in and empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders!
Before the conference, our students also had the opportunity to visit with Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Stacy Simunek, Executive Director Thad Doye, and Burton Harmon. A special thank you to NEO alumna Alisen Anderson for helping make this connection and creating another meaningful experience for our students.
Opportunities like these allow our students to build valuable relationships, learn from leaders in Oklahoma agriculture, and see firsthand the many paths available to them within the industry. We are grateful for the organizations, industry leaders, and alumni who continue to invest in our NEO Agriculture students! 💙💛

John is bringing more than 30 years of experience in agricultural education, a passion for developing students, and a whole lot of Norse pride back to Miami! 🤠🌱

As a former NEO student, John knows firsthand the impact NEO can have on a student’s future. Now, he’s returning to help prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders through NEO’s livestock and equine evaluation teams, rodeo, ranch riding programs and more.

The NEO Agriculture Department is proud to invite our alumni, friends, industry partners, and community to the 2026 NEO Agriculture Alumni & Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, August 22.
This special evening is about more than recognizing outstanding accomplishments—it’s about celebrating the people and traditions that continue to shape NEO Agriculture and the agricultural industry.

This year, we are honored to induct Kelley Wainscott and Michael Kelsey into the NEO Agriculture Hall of Fame. Both began their NEO journeys as members of our judging programs and have gone on to build remarkable careers defined by leadership, service, and a lasting commitment to agriculture.

As another school year approaches, we’re excited to welcome our students back to campus and begin another year at NEO!
Last week’s Ottawa County Fair was a great reminder of what makes NEO and our community so special. Members of the NEO Livestock Judging Team assisted throughout the fair, while many NEO alumni gathered alongside community members to support and encourage the youth of Ottawa County.
There’s something special about seeing current students, alumni, and our community come together through agriculture. At NEO, we are branded in tradition—traditions built by generations of students and alumni who continue to give back, show up, and invest in the next generation.
We’re proud to call Ottawa County home, grateful for the alumni and community who make NEO so special, and excited to welcome our students back to campus to carry those traditions forward.

Welcome Braylon!!

💙👏 Welcome to NEO, Braylon Spears! 💛

NEO is excited to welcome Braylon Spears as the new Livestock Judging Team Coach for the NEO Agriculture Department!

A Hartshorne, Oklahoma native, Braylon brings a strong background in agriculture, livestock evaluation, and agricultural education. He earned his associate degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College before completing his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 2025.

Braylon has competed on nationally recognized livestock and meat-evaluation teams and, in his first year teaching, recently coached the Wagoner FFA Livestock Judging Team to a State Championship.

We are excited to have Braylon join the Norse family and lead the next generation of NEO livestock judging students!
