Recently our little learners explored the βVery Hungry Caterpillarβ theme πππΏ
We practiced fine motor skills through lacing activities, explored sensory play with water pouring in our frog pond, we used tweezers to pick up bugs from colorful rice sensory bins.
The children also painted caterpillar and worked on color and fruit recognition.
We had so much fun feeding the very hungry caterpillar! πππ

During Mental Health Awareness Month, at the UM Linda Ray Intervention Center, we recognize that a childβs emotional well-being is shaped by the relationships and environments around them. Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs)-feeling loved, supported, and safe-help build resilience, confidence, and healthy development. Together, families, educators, and communities can create the meaningful connections children need to thrive.
Here are some everyday practices from the American Society for the Positive Care of Children (American SPCC) that create a well-being relationship with your child.
