I’m so happy to welcome Ms. Lucas! She brings over 10 years of experience working with children and has a strong background in reading comprehension, math, writing, and test prep, while also helping students build confidence along the way.

As MindPrepCo continues to grow, I’ve been VERY intentional about who I bring on—she aligns with the level of care, structure, and expectations our students deserve.

She’ll be supporting sessions while following the MindPrepCo method and approach. 📚

🚨 FAST Tip: Main Idea Questions (Don’t Get Tricked!)

Parents — your child might understand main idea… but still get it wrong on the FAST.

And it’s not because they can’t read.

It’s because the test doesn’t always ask:
👉 “What is the main idea?”

It shows up in different ways — and that’s where students get confused.

✨ It’s the SAME skill every time: MAIN IDEA

Once students recognize that, everything starts to click:
✔️ Less confusion
✔️ Better answers
✔️ More confidence

Cold reads used to feel scary… until confidence kicked in 💪📚

When we divide, every number has a job:

👉 Dividend = gets divided
👉 Divisor = does the dividing
👉 Quotient = the final answer(sum)
