This Friday on Episode #375 of The Jeet Kune Do Dialogues, I'm joined by Paul Borrett.
Paul's martial arts journey began in Canada in the late 1970s and has since taken him through the UK, China, Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore.
Along the way he's trained with and learned from an extraordinary collection of martial artists including Taky Kimura, Dan Inosanto, Ted Wong, Richard Bustillo, Dan Lee, Salem Assli, Kevin Pinkerton, Paul Vunak, Roy Harris, Tommy Carruthers, Silvio Braga, Roger Gracie's team and many others.
But this conversation isn't about collecting names.
It's about what happens when a martial artist spends decades navigating different systems, cultures, instructors, and philosophies while trying to remain true to his own path.
We'll discuss mentorship, lineage, personal expression, teaching, cross-training, Bruce Lee's legacy and the lessons that only emerge after a lifetime of training.
Join us live Friday, June 12th at 7:00 PM Eastern.

Because sometimes the most important lessons aren't learned from techniques... they're learned from the people who guide us along the way.

The Jeet Kune Do Dialogues Episode #370 "Ask Me Anything" w. Dwight Woods, The JKD Rebel
You ever train with someone…
and realize you didn’t understand what you thought you understood?
I just spent time at a recent Dan Inosanto seminar…
And someone asked me:
“When you say ‘typical Inosanto’… what does that actually mean?”
That’s a deeper question than it sounds.
I’ll break it down LIVE.
