For the final time, ACND faculty gathered for the 8th grade graduation ceremony!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the events this weekend to say goodbye to ACND.
Current teachers graciously opened their classrooms Saturday for alumni to visit and say goodbye. Unfortunately, teachers came in this morning to begin the final week of classes and found items missing. Teachers have been placed in a very difficult situation this year and are nearing the end of a year that has tested their resolve. The items that were taken (including school supplies) were purchased by teachers with money from their own pockets, not by the Archdiocese. It is disappointing and disheartening to say the least. Missing and vandalized items include:
Writing on classroom walls
T-Shirts
Yearbooks
Pictures
(These were teacher's personal property, not the ones being given away in the cafeteria)
School supplies from numerous teachers
24 diet cokes from teacher's lounge refrigerator
Ball ripped apart and pieces left strewn about the room
Lanyard taken after the teacher's ID had been taken off
Hamlet prop
Basketballs
1984 Poster
Other posters taken off walls and stolen

Final game played on Archbishop Curley campus When Archbishop Curley/Notre Dame’s Armani Nelfort grounded out to first base to end the game and a 17-0 loss to Marathon was in the books, it marked the end of 63 years of athletics at the high school as it was the final athletic event played on the school’s campus.

End of an Era ... The softball team played the final athletic contest on ACND's campus today, paying tribute to the thousands of athletes who donned Curley jerseys since 1953. The afternoon was commemorated by a special "Final Pitch" tossed by baseball coach Jerry Yeash, recognition of all of the current players -- especially seniors Sarisha Wiggins, CC Saunders, Abigail Lovelace, Martina Rousseau -- and passionate words from head coach Greg Cabana, who urged the entire ACND community to find other ways to "pass the torch," and principal Doug Romanik, who offered a poignant final prayer. Thank you to all who attended and continue to support ACND as its time comes to a close.

Jerry Yeash, a 2017 ACND Hall of Fame inductee, coached his final game on campus after 38 years. Yeash's two sons, Michael and Tony, threw out ceremonial first pitches to commemorate the special and poignant occasion.
