Last week, the Business Club hosted Francesco Balli ‘93 and Ignacio Garcia-Menocal ‘93, co-founders and CEOs of Grove Bay Hospitality Group. They shared their experiences and knowledge of the industry. Grove Bay Hospitality Group owns well-known restaurants and bars such as Root&Bone, Glass and Vine, Bayshore Club and more. Last week, class of ‘06 alum Anthony Fiore spoke to Mr. Busatto’s accounting class about his career journey and owning his own CPA Firm.

Yesterday, Mr. Corazon, Business Department Leader, spoke to the Business Club about his time owning a business and his career path.

First Business Club meeting of the year!

Today, we hosted students for the CCHS Business Awards Ceremony. Department head, Mr. Corazon distributed awards for the Future Business Leaders of America and Business Club organizations as well as Carricarte Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship cords for graduation. Additionally, Business Honor Society moderator Ms. Rayneri inducted new members to the organization. Students who participated in the wealth seminar and the recent NFTE Business finalists were also recognized.

Today, our Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship Business pitch team consisting of Massimo Del Rio and Alessandro Padilla made it to the finals. This is the furthest CCHS has ever made it as a school. The competition is among area private schools to raise money for NFTE. Well done, gentlemen! Thank you to business teacher, Mr. Berch, as well.

This weekend, 22 of our CCHS FBLA members competed at the State Leadership Conference after placing in the District Competition. We had one of our best showings in recent years. Winners include:
- our second-ever First Place finish in Banking & Financial Systems: Christian De Villiers, Alan Munschy, Nicolas Postel
- Third Place in Marketing: Stefan Anzola and Matthew Cutie
- Third Place in Public Service Announcement: Lucas Figueroa
- Fourth Place in Introduction to Business Concepts: Kai Salcedo
- Finalist in Public Speaking: Nicholas Diaz
