Can you match HEX colors? No... and here's why. 🎨

This is one of the most common questions we receive, and the answer surprises a lot of people.

HEX codes and RGB values were created for screens, not printing.

Your computer monitor, phone, and tablet create color using light, which is why logos often appear brighter and more vibrant online. Once that same design is printed with ink on fabric or paper, there's no light shining through it. The color simply behaves differently.

CMYK is the color system used for full-color printing, but even then, results can vary from one printer to another. Different presses, calibration methods, ink formulations, and materials all influence the final color.

If your brand color needs to be as accurate and consistent as possible, Solid-Coated Pantone® colors are the gold standard. Pantone colors are selected from a physical color book and give printers a standardized target to match, helping your brand stay consistent across future print runs.
