Doctors Charter School is a college prep school that is the pride of the Miami Shores community. It is widely recognized for offering relevant and rigorous academic programs in a safe and personal setting. Technology and diverse extracurricular activities attract quality students, resulting in exceptionally high college acceptance rates. DCS provides public school students with a top private schoo

l experience. The name of the school honors the North Dade Medical Foundation's financial contribution for the construction of the school building and for the educational program. The school's identity is academic excellence and its log symbolizes learning and study. The words that appear in our logo are Perceptum, "to learn" and Affero, "to contribute." They represent the essence of the school where learning is the main focus and where our graduates are academically well-prepared, responsible citizens. The symbol of the Caduceus signifies our ties with and the continued support from the medical community that sponsors Doctors Charter School.

Congratulations to Love Escarment, recipient of the 2026 DCS Board of Directors Herta Holly Scholarship!

Established through the generosity of the members of the Doctors Charter School Board of Directors, this scholarship is especially meaningful because each Board member personally contributes to make it possible. It recognizes a graduating senior who embodies leadership, service, school spirit, and a deep commitment to the DCS community.

Love has been part of the DCS family since sixth grade and is a proud member of the DCS 7-Year Club.

Throughout her seven years at Doctors Charter School, she grew into a respected student leader whose enthusiasm, compassion, organization, and school spirit made a lasting impact on our community.

She served as Treasurer of the National Honor Society and as Chair and Founder of the DCS Spirit Committee, helping strengthen school spirit, increase student engagement, and create a more welcoming and connected school community.

The DCS Board of Directors Herta Holly Scholarship was presented to Love during the DCS Commencement Ceremony by Mrs. Rachel Fabricant, Chair of the Doctors Charter School Board of Directors.

Love graduated from DCS with college credits through the DCS Dual Enrollment Program and will attend the University of Central Florida to study International Relations. Her goal is to earn a law degree and eventually practice Corporate Law.

We are grateful to the Doctors Charter School Board of Directors for their generosity and continued commitment to supporting DCS students through this meaningful scholarship.
