On 6 May 1952 Maria Montessori left this world, yet her words continue to encourage our work and mission. Let’s look at what she said in conclusion of an international lecture where she encouraged her audience to continue studying human development. She asked the delegates, “how long should students continue to study?” And provided the answer with conviction: “until death”.

Upon conclusion of their studies students would need to shift their focus to the universe which is the human laboratory. Montessori acknowledged that not everyone can become a teacher but felt that all should be under the obligation to find continued opportunities to study and deepen their knowledge in the future. She lived what she said: she continued to study and write until the last day of her life.

We’re ready for Christmas 🎅🏼🎄✨

Wow! The past week has been filled with our annual Holiday Performance, Secret Santa book exchange, building gingerbread houses, meeting the Grinch, and dressing up with holiday spirit for Spirit Week!

December is here and we’re ready for all the festive cheer 🎅🏼✨

This week each of our students brought in an ornament from home and placed it on their classroom tree. They will stay on our trees for the school years to come 🎄

PS: The Elf on the Shelf has come back from the North Pole to visit us! He’s Santa’s eyes and ears and heads back to the North Pole each night to share his observations. Then he returns in the morning where he will be found in a new spot or perhaps created mischief overnight 🤭

Happy Peace Day from us to you ☮️🕊️

Last Friday we celebrated International Peace Day at both of our campuses and worked on art projects, songs, and learned what the day is all about 🤍
