The Breanna Vergara Foundation was established on February 9th, 2015.

Bre’s greatest passion was life itself and she inspired many to reach for their dreams, as she did, by always rocking the dance floor! Her legacy will live on, thru the scholarships, grants, and many events that will be carried out. We look forward to sharing our mission, story, and ways you can help and/or be an advocate. For now, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support

🩵 Back to school means back to sports, practices, and new beginnings! As Florida students return to the classroom and the playing field, it’s a great time to put heart health at the top of the checklist.
🩷 Florida has taken an important step toward protecting young athletes by requiring heart screenings for student-athletes. While no screening can eliminate every risk, awareness and early detection can make a meaningful difference.
🦋 Every young athlete deserves the opportunity to participate safely and every family deserves to be informed. This school year, let’s make heart health part of getting ready for the season.

🩵 The Breanna Vergara Foundation was honored to partner with Phi Sigma Sigma at Florida International University to provide CPR and AED training to its members.

🩷 Learning these lifesaving skills gives students the confidence to act in an emergency and reinforces the importance of being prepared when every second counts. Together, we’re building a community that is equipped to respond and help save lives.

🦋 A special thank you to Phi Sigma Sigma for your commitment to heart health education and for helping us continue Bre’s legacy through awareness, preparedness, and action. And a heartfelt thank you to Nelson Rodriguez for volunteering his time and expertise to teach the class. Your dedication to educating others and helping create more confident lifesavers is truly appreciated.

Today we’re sharing Lucas’s story to help raise awareness about Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS), a rare genetic condition that can affect the heart and blood vessels.

Early recognition, proper evaluation, and ongoing monitoring can make a life-saving difference. As part of our mission, we remain committed to educating our community and advocating for early detection.
