Our Food Forests for Schools team kicked off the new school year at Twin Lakes Elementary in Hialeah. They met with so many amazing students and their families. 🏫💚

Parents and kids got a look at (and a taste of) how our Food Forests bring hands-on learning, science, and nutrition directly into the classroom. 🥦🔍 To help welcome everyone back, families went home with fresh food forest clippings, seeds to plant, and fun giveaways. 🌱🎁

Special thanks to Angelica Herrera, Miss Universe Cuba-Holguin, for stepping in and helping out.

We’re so excited to see these young sprouts learn and grow all year long. 🐛🌾

Laurent Lafalaise, from our Ocean Bank Center for Educational Materials Team, joined art teachers at the "Cultivating Creativity" Learning Day at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens.

Laurent welcomed new teachers, shared info about our free school supplies warehouse, upcoming art exhibition and auction, and handed out fun art supply raffle packs. 🎒🖌️

The Education Fund celebrated Arbor Day at Lake Stevens Elementary School, where the Food Forests for Schools program creates outdoor classrooms where students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools learn nutrition, resiliency, math, and science.

Students learn underneath a cool, shaded tree canopy. These beautiful, safe outdoor spaces help students step out of their comfort zones and develop a love for the environment.
