We hope everyone had a wonderful Grandparents Day weekend, because we sure did here at Montessori School of Miami Gardens! 💛🌎

Our celebration was filled with some of the sweetest moments—📚 reading favorite books together, 🧺 enjoying cozy classroom picnics, and ✨ creating special books filled with memories, stories, and treasured moments shared with our grandparents.

There is something so beautiful about watching generations come together in our classrooms. Thank you to all of the wonderful grandparents who joined us and made this celebration so meaningful for our children. Your love, wisdom, and presence are such a special part of their lives. 🤍

Today, Montessori School of Miami Gardens celebrates the remarkable woman whose vision forever changed the way we see, respect, and educate children.

Dr. Montessori taught us to look beyond what a child can do today and recognize the incredible potential of who they are becoming. Building our academic skills—one lesson at a time! 🌟
 
In these snapshots from our morning Montessori Lesson Cycle, our primary students (ages 3-6) are immersed in hands-on learning with authentic Montessori materials. They begin by exploring concepts concretely—like matching bead quantities to numeral cards—then deepen their understanding through extensions such as practicing multiplication tables with beads. Even practical life lessons, like transferring, help strengthen fine motor skills and prepare little hands for writing.

Celebrating Independence Day with delicious hands-on learning! 🍓🫐 Last week, our preschoolers prepared their own yogurt parfaits with fresh strawberries and blueberries in honor of the Fourth of July. Through this fun food-preparation activity, students practiced washing and cutting fruit, strengthened fine motor skills, and enjoyed the satisfaction of making their own healthy snack.

Tech Kids in Action⚡🔧 
 
Our preschoolers are having a BLAST continuing their technology adventures in our “Tech Kid: A Child of the Future” summer program by assembling Snap Circuits. With tiny hands and big curiosity, they’re placing electronic components on baseboards, which then play a melody—making real-world connections between science, technology, and creativity.
 
Through hands-on STEM experiences like these, our students are developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and fine motor skills—all while having fun! We’re committed to empowering children to reach their fullest potential by inspiring a lifelong love of learning and innovation.
