The countdown to the 2026 Monsignor Edward Pace High School Hall of Fame Ceremony continues!

Today, we proudly spotlight DeMarcus Van D**e ’07, a Spartan whose journey has taken him from state champion to the NFL and now to the sidelines of college football.

During his time at Pace, DeMarcus was part of two state championship teams, the 2003 Football State Championship team and the 2007 State Championship 4x100 Relay team.

After Pace, he continued his career at the University of Miami before being selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Following six years of professional football, DeMarcus transitioned into coaching and has continued to mentor and develop the next generation of student-athletes. Today, he serves as Cornerbacks Coach at Auburn University.

From Spartan champion to collegiate athlete, NFL player, and college coach, DeMarcus continues to represent the dedication, perseverance, and excellence of a Pace Spartan.

Today, we proudly spotlight Adrian Gonzalez ’97, a Spartan whose journey embodies faith, perseverance, leadership, and service.

Adrian is the President and owner of A&P Air Conditioning, where he worked his way from apprentice to president. His passion for engineering began right here at Pace as a member of the state championship engineering team, eventually leading him to earn degrees in mechanical engineering and engineering management from FIU.

But Adrian’s Spartan story goes far beyond professional success. He and A&P have continued to give back to Pace through the donation of our Biology and Chemistry laboratories, along with their generous support of the Spartan Swine Showdown and Spartan Golf Tournament.

For Adrian, Pace is more than his alma mater, it’s a family tradition and a community he continues to invest in for future generations.

On October 2, we proudly welcome Adrian Gonzalez ’97 into the Monsignor Edward Pace High School Hall of Fame! 🏆

We’re officially counting down to the 2026 Monsignor Edward Pace High School Hall of Fame Ceremony! ❤️💛

As we get closer to October 2, we’re proud to introduce each of this year’s five inductees and celebrate the legacies they have built within our Spartan community.

First, we honor Celia Rouco.

Celia’s Pace story began in 1995 as a Spartan parent and grew into decades of service to our school. After years of volunteering and supporting school events, she joined the Pace staff in 2005 as Director of Development, where she dedicated herself to strengthening the bond between Pace, our alumni, families, and the greater community.

From helping establish beloved Pace traditions to leading fundraising efforts that supported students in need, Celia’s generosity, faith, and commitment left an impact that continues to be felt today.

On October 2, we proudly honor and induct Celia Rouco into the Monsignor Edward Pace High School Hall of Fame.
